I have tried this car seat in the rear facing position in a toyota hilux, holden commodore and a subaru legacy - all very common cars - and it doesn't fit in any of them!! Either the seat belt doesn't fit around it or the angle of the seat of the car makes the bebe sit in the wrong position. Also in the rear position the seat belt goes right across where you try to put the baby in so it is very awkward. So BE SURE to check this fits your car before you buy. I live rurally so didn't... :(
